Thames Hall

High Street, Cricklade

Heritage

Built in 1870 as a Wesleyan Chapel is ceased to be used as a place of worship when the congregation amalgamated in 1938, with the Primitive Methodists who formed in 1824, but worshipped in Calcutt Street. The Thames Hall was eventually gifted to the Town Council for use as a Hall. For two weeks in the spring the hall hosts Cricklade Bloomers Cafe, for those wishing to visit the Fritillaries of North Meadow Nature Reserve, ALWAYS check to see if the reserve is open as it can be flooded this time of year. The Hall sits upon the verge of the Thames and the Town Bridge.

It is built of Stone with a slate roof. A central panelled double door with stone porch and flower opening above the door and on either side of the door is a 9 paned tall arched window.
