Built by Robert Jenner in 1652 to house a school it consists of limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. It has a stone slate roof which is part of two storeys, with a single storey school room to the north. There are three bays and an entrance on the north side in the graveyard, and a gabled porch with depressed three centred arches and finials to the gable. There is one gabled window to the north and three to the south. An external flue on north side, which had an extension in 1800's it has a four-light transomed and mullioned window with ovolo-mullioned and diamond lead glazing. The south elevation was restored around 1980.
